FAQ

Q1: Why are some test strips expensive and some are cheap?

A1: In the cost of a pet test kits the largest cost is its raw material, and the quality of the raw material is the most important indicator that determines the performance of a test kit. The price of good pet disease antibody antigens is often 2-3 times or even more than that of general antibodies, resulting in significant price differences for finished test. In addition, there is the difference in the stability of the test kit, which in turn depends on the stability of the test paper production process. In summary, a good product cannot be supplied to customers in the same price as a low-end product.

Q2: What factors will affect the results of pet test strips?

A2: 1. Vaccine. If the puppy has just been vaccinated, since the vaccine itself is a virus, the test paper will basically show a positive result.

2. Virus incubation period. All test strips have a certain limit of detection. When the virus concentration is very low, it is easy to have undetectable results. In this case, it will be manifested as a false negative result on the test strip.

3. Virus carriers. Some dogs, especially stray dogs, are carriers of the virus but do not show clinical symptoms. But when they are tested with test strips, they are likely to have a positive reaction. Dogs carrying this virus are often the biggest source of infection for other dogs in the environment, as well as the root cause of the canine distemper virus epidemic in China and difficult to eliminate.

Q3: Why are the results of the self-test of pet owners sometimes diametrically opposed to the results of the veterinary hospital?

A3: When many friends encounter this situation, the first reaction is that the test strip is not good. We do not deny that there may be some inferior products on the market, but if there is a difference between the test results of the test strips and the test results sent to the pet hospital later, it is judged that a test strip is not good, which itself is more biased.

Anyone who has been engaged in the research and development of immunochromatographic test strips will know that it is impossible for any test strip to achieve 100% accuracy in clinical practice. Even the HIV test strips and early pregnancy test strips used by humans can’t do it. Pet test strips belong to the relatively low maturity of the immune test strips, and the accuracy of the test strips for humans is worse. In the international veterinary diagnostic community, the role of pet test paper is more in the preliminary screening of pet diseases, as a reference for clinical analysis. An experienced veterinarian will not judge whether a pet has canine plague or smallness based on the test results of the pet test paper alone. They often make a diagnosis based on the results of test strips, clinical manifestations, blood test reports, etc. This is why the cost of self-testing with test strips is much lower than the price of testing in pet hospitals.

Q4: Is your Animal Test Paper accurate?

A1: The company’sxtest strips adopt the latest colloidal gold test paper production technology and carefully developed by Aijin technical team. All products have reached the leading level in the industry. Among them, the newly developed EveGen series of pet disease detection test strips have a very small intra-batch difference (Inner CV%<10%), which can be applied to quantitative detection with a gold standard card reader, and the precision and accuracy are better than that of Judas. Most imported and domestic test strips also reduce the error of inaccurate results due to misoperation. Even people who do not use test strips at all can easily operate and avoid misjudgments.

Before being launched on the market, The company’s test strips have been verified by a large number of clinical samples. Compared with the excellent products of international counterparts, the sensitivity and specificity indicators have reached more than 95%, which can replace the expensive imported test strips, which is suitable for the majority of pets. Doctors provide accurate and convenient auxiliary detection tools, and also provide reliable guarantee for pet owners to conduct regular self-tests for pet diseases at home.
